According to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, an estimated 1.5 million Canadians identify as having a sight loss and another 5.59 million have an eye disease that could cause sight loss.
Accessibility in everyday packaging provides those who have vision impairment a sense of inclusion and independence. Use of colour, large text, and symbols allow greater contrast and thus higher visibility to those who may be visually impaired.
